Sage
Sage is a fragrant, earthy herb with soft silver-green leaves and a warm, savoury flavour that makes soups, stews, roasted vegetables, meats, teas, and sauces taste richer. It is also known as common sage or garden sage.
Plant sage in a sunny spot with well-draining soil. Space plants about 18–24 inches apart so they have room to grow into a bushy herb plant. Water lightly and avoid keeping the soil too wet, because sage prefers drier conditions once established.
Sage has been traditionally used to support digestion, soothe the throat, and add antioxidant-rich flavour to meals. A beautiful, low-maintenance herb for any kitchen garden.
